Crafting Confidence: The Vision and Resilience of Christopher Moore
We’d like to introduce you to the founder, Christopher Moore, the second child of a seamstress mother Mrs. Ena Moore and head aero-mechanic father Bertram Moore.
Christopher grew up in a middle-class community. He spent his childhood in East New York, Brooklyn on Euclid Avenue, and was known as a gentle giant due to his medium build and assertiveness.
His friends and family described him as being genuine and resourceful. His peers have described him as being insightful and a calming force in challenging situations.
Growing up, Christopher was respected in his neighborhood for his outspoken character, his love of basketball, dirt bike riding, not to mention nice cars!
As an entrepreneur, Christopher considers himself a natural problem solver and innovator. These qualities have allowed him to discover new niches and explore a range of entrepreneurial endeavors, including a lingerie boutique, barber shop and a restaurant. He earned the nickname "Flamma," which is a Caribbean term for someone who dresses meticulously, no matter the occasion.
Despite his age and experience to date, he is currently committed to discovering methods to encourage people to value the significance of dressing appropriately.
Christopher's mother played a significant role in his early life, inspiring him with her talent for tailoring uniforms for him and his siblings. She instilled in him an appreciation for well-crafted garments and would not let them leave the house looking anything less than polished.
Today, Christopher has inherited his mother's keen eye for design, which he channels into his innovative and timeless creations, including his signature "Tie Knit" design.
This unique concept came about when he observed a growing trend of people wearing turtlenecks to work. While serving a 30-year prison sentence on a drug conspiracy charge, he discussed the idea with an artist, also serving time, who helped to put his idea down on paper. The concept finally came to fruition with the help of his loyal partners and his youngest son who have continued to motivate him along his journey from "Flamma to Fashion Designer".
